Polly Paulusma, joined by Jon Thorne (Lamb, Yorkston Thorne Khan) on upright bass, presents a stunning performance celebrating the release of her latest album, Wildfires.
Together, Paulusma and Thorne will perform songs from across her six studio albums, released since 2004 on Björk’s label One Little Independent. Wildfires is a remarkable, two-hour work featuring emotionally charged songs intertwined with spoken word poetry, produced by the acclaimed Ethan Johns (Laura Marling, Ray Lamontagne, Ryan Adams).
The musical chemistry between Paulusma and Thorne is captivating as they weave through her diverse repertoire, with a special focus on Wildfires. Expect an evening of heartfelt songs, poignant stories, and a blend of humor and reflection on love, loss, grief, and philosophical inquiry.
